As a church and school, we must consider the following with regard to government laws, ordinances, and resolutions that affect our church and school:

With regard to meeting in person, Hebrews chapter ten says: 23 Let us hold fast the confession of [our] hope without wavering..., 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. (Hebrews 10:23-25).  When told by the government and religious leaders to restrict their religious activity, Peter and John responded in Acts chapter four:  19 … Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge. 20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard. (Acts 4:19-20). Recognizing a citizen’s conscience and right to worship God as they deem right, our Founding Fathers placed the following text in our Constitution: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..." (1st Amendment of the Constitution of the United States)

As a church, we believe that we must keep our doors open and reach out to the lost, hurting, addicted, scared, and those who need hope, not isolation.  With an increase in drug and alcohol abuse, skyrocketing suicide rates, and fear in people at an unprecedented rate, our doors must remain open to help.  Therefore, in accordance with the above, our doors shall remain open.

Infection Control Protocol

Headwaters Church and School cannot guarantee non-spread of infection.

ENTER AT OWN RISK

Before entering, and while here, please self-govern and love your neighbor by taking steps, as much as depends on you, to prevent the spread of infection or disease.  As with any responsible society, we should always practice standard infection control techniques out of love and respect for our neighbors and self. Effective infection control includes, but is not limited to:

  • Good personal hygiene.
  • Frequent hand washing.
  • Covering coughs.
  • Isolating ourselves when we are sick.
  • Maintaining a healthy immune system.
  • Weighing your personal comfort level with regard to exposure to potential infection.
  • Identifying underlying conditions you might have and the associated risk.
  • Avoiding situations where there is high risk of transmission of infectious disease.

Due to current Covid-19 considerations, the following enhanced infection control protocol will be recommended at Headwaters Church and School:

  • “Social Distancing” is recommended.
  • Temperature checks performed when indicated.
  • Availability of sanitizer, antibacterial soap, and masks.
  • Increased cleaning and sanitizing of facilities and surfaces between use.

Based on the best and most recent science available at this time, children are at low risk for Covid-19 and therefore, in person school shall continue at Headwaters School, five days per week.

For those who believe it best to avoid in person church attendance, livestreaming of primary events shall continue to occur.

In His grace,

Headwaters Church and School
